We spent a couple of pleasant nights here following some time at a lodge in the Kantishna, inside Denali National Park at the end of the Park Road. We selected this property because a friend of ours built it in the early 80's (that family has since left the area). The current owners are keeping the property up to best quality standards, as much as possible, and the service is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable and everything functioned properly. The cabins are constructed individually on a hillside, connected by decks and stairs. Rustic, but charming. Excellent accommodation with ample room for 2. Friendly and informed staff. Privately and locally owned. This location has incredibly close access to Denali's "canyon" that has plenty of shopping, adventure touring, and dining options within walking distance. The Crow's nest has an excellent restaurant right on premise as well called the Overlook. One of the best views around and killer cocktails. The famous Salmon Bake is also right at the bottom of the hill. Definitely an excellent value! Glad to have found the crows nest cabins. Private cabins. Nice baths, amenities (Kuerig, toiletries, mini fridge, room heater, TV with local channels). Close to Overlook Restaurant, but we don't think they are related. A bit of a hike to it and to your cabin. We did have a vole visit our room... so don't leave food out. Bedding was very comfortable. Decent place to stay while visiting Denali. The price was good compared to other places, and but you get what you pay for. Note that this place is in no way whatsoever wheelchair accessible. Actually, there are several steps to get to even the first floor rooms, and we were on the fourth floor :P Bed is super comfy tho, and room has enough power outlets, including USB ports. Very friendly service, including help getting your luggage up the hundred steps! The cabins are good but they are still setting stuff up so beware. The staff is helpful but I'll equipped. Also there are stairs, a lot of them. If you are on the 5th level you have to walk up and down 5 floors every time.
