Surprised by all the good ratings because this place did not live up to the hype. First of all it was a gorgeous day and they have a large deck area but "it was closed and we were not allowed to sit out there today because there was no server" and then inside there was no view of outside.... it really sucked. The soup was OK, salad was tiny, Grizzly cheese pizza (ordered with extra cheese - but would not have known it) was a huge disappointment. Crust was so tough that I could not even cut it with the knife for my youngest daughter. We had half a pizza left and did not get it to go it was so bad my kids were like no way am I eating any more of that. Would not recommend or come back next time we are around the area. So far the only poor review of our trip. Great beer selection! Nothing like exploring a new types of beer! Lots of local brews from Alaska plus some favorites from back home! Great service. Lunch was not busy. Food is great. Pizzas options are plentiful! We ate there twice and both times the pizza was delicious! The ambiance was of a rustic Alaskan setting, with stuffed animals and historic photos. They are only open during the summer tourist season. What a great experience in Denali! Nik was behind the bar and he was so helpful in selecting beer from the huge number of choices (both local and not). We had a delicious Chinook pizza and Denali mushrooms. The mushrooms were battered and deep-fried and the pizza had a perfect crisp crust. If we were staying in town longer we'd come back for more! One of the best restaurants in Denali. I really liked the food and the fast service they provide!
