Place is very nicely done. Lodge is large, spacious with large wood beam and steel construction. Food was good. Breakfast choices were limited and pricey. Dinner menu was very good, recommend the prime rib. Rooms were a modern log cabin design, and were quite nice. I recommend this place. If Walt Disney had decided to feature a mountain instead of a mouse, you would have Denali Park Village as your resort. It is a nice place, but designed for tourists. There rooms are on the smaller side, but comfortable. There is no air-conditioning, but that is generally not a problem on most cool days. There is a good restaurant and bar in the lobby, but be prepared for it to be expensive (think Disney World prices). There is the Miners Village where there is a dinner theater as well as a burger stand. The general store has several flavors of ice cream. The view of the river is gorgeous. You can walk the path past the education center and potentially see some animals on the other shore. On our last visit, we saw a bear walking along the water, under the bridge. There are several easy hiking trails across the bridge. In the summer, be prepared for it to never quite get dark. The curtains are good at blocking the light. There are many excursions that pick up from the hotel lobby. Amazing place! Amazing views! Great service and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Close to Denali National Park with easy shuttle access. Secluded from the rest of the commercialized area. A lot to do even at the lodge itself. Easy shuttle access and pickups from all the local attractions. I highly recommend staying here during your Denali visit! Very rustic atmosphere. The rooms were clean and seemed somewhat newly built. Wooden furniture in the rooms put you right in the mood for where you are located. A general store (a bit pricey), some small gift shops, a small meal grill shack that was pretty good with a few adult beverage options, an optional Alaska themed dinner show (again, too pricey for what was offered, $70 per person, again....optional), multiple firepits to relax around, beautiful hotel lobby, with a breathtaking river on the back side adjacent to their restaurant with an awesome view for dinner! Great service. If you like to spend some time in a rustic and authentic atmosphere with nature all around you, you'll enjoy it, as I did! My supervisor and I stopped in while we were surveying for invasive plants in the area. The village seems like a pretty neat place. There's river access, a number of shops, fire pits, plenty of outdoor seating, and a working gem mining sluice. The accommodations were nice-looking from the outside. And I love the Denali Education Center tucked toward the back. Unfortunately, all the shops and restaurants are closed for a number of hours midday so we didn't get to experience any of those. Good for Pokémon GO
