This is where you should start any trip into the park. It is fun and informative for any age group and they have great advice for making the best of your time in the park. I really enjoyed the model of the park which gave a bird's eye view of the whole landscape of the park. It helped to put everything in perspective. We ended up taking the bus deep into the park the next day which was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone. Beautiful and green. Awesome museums and plenty of trails!! Make sure you have Bear Spray and insect spray!!! There is much more to Denali then what you will actually see. Especially if you haven't applied for a permit to enter into various area of the park that are otherwise off limits. There are a few paved roads throughout the park, and wildlife is certainly in view, but the only way to get up close and personal with Denali's real wonders is to hire a local guide/Cessna pilot. The enormous mountain known as Mt McKinley is the tallest in North America. It is visible on a clear day from almost anywhere within 200 miles. You will never know where the sky ends.
