We loved our evening at 229 Parks. The service was welcoming and gracious and the food was excellent. This place is such an amazing treat, located near Denali National Park, one of the most beautiful places on earth. Everything about our meal was extra special and filled with delight. 229 is well deserving of the praise it receives. I was really impressed that this level of dining was available out here! The Halibut is probably the best I've had in the state. My party also had the lamb lollipops and octopus, both of which were cooked to perfection. The addition of fresh garden greens to each dish and the appetizers is commendable. Lastly, prices are very fair and service staff were friendly. Absolutely loved it! Terrific menu using local foods. Hard to believe such a great place does it so perfect, way out in the middle of nowhere. Meant for the tourists in Denali, too far for locals, but if you can make it there, worth it. Skip the commercial food at the park and eat every meal here. Truly amazing. Lovely atmosphere Had beer, halibut, and a wonderful dessert. The atmosphere was wonderful, maybe a little loud with a big table. Wonderful place that I would recommend to others.
